NOWOOD The planks, cut with special machinery, are brought to rectangular or elliptical cross-section.
Then the resulting blades are subjected to seasoning, a process in which the moisture content is reduced and the fibers are stabilized.
The natural drying system is the most widely used and involves placing the wooden blades outdoors after spacing them properly and protecting them with a cover.
After a set period of time, the blades are ready to be fitted with aluminum elements.
The essence that Novitalia uses for its sunshades is cedar.
This type of wood is free from excessive boarding, has a low presence of knots and resin pockets.
There are also harder woods such as teak and oak available for special requests.
Novitalia blades are delivered and assembled unfinished, since over time this type of wood tends to harden and congeal in contact with the weather, this has the advantage of requiring no maintenance in the long run.
